From simple technical assistance to management of larger
scale recording projects or live performances, I provide anything
up to well produced multi-track live recordings and one-man
PA hire solutions. Additionally, if artistic input is required,
I am also a drummer with some skills on guitar, keyboards
and vocal harmonies.
Some of my training and experience in technical
audio work includes:-
a year studying Music Technology in
E.A.R.T.H. Studios in Lozells
working with bands with exciting line-ups
such as Steve Miakassissa’s Crossroads Collisions: African
and Asian percussion, drum kit, kora, bass, saxophone and
poetry
providing a one-man PA solution for
a young people’s concert at Joseph Chamberlain College
involving a constantly changing line-up of musicians playing
instruments such as sitar, tabla, brass and woodwind section
as well as turntables, drum kit, guitar, vocals and so on
other band recordings have ranged from
international jazz guitarist König at the Drum to Birmingham
indie rock band Sun Tiger Brand in their house
currently working with adults who are
isolated due to physical disability or mental illness, recording
and providing instrumental and vocal backing on Sound It Out’s
Musical Connections project at the Midlands Arts Centre.
